We present to you our Ray Hunt Wade Saddle from Buckaroo Leather

This tough little work saddle is built on the Ray Hunt Wade tree. Handmade in our shop, this saddle will provide many years of service with out paying an arm and a leg.16 oz. Top Grade American tanned all rough out leather. Can be customized with tooling and carving and seat size. All leather ground seat! And it’s made light weight like our old diamond lite saddle, many ladies call it our Lady Wade Lite

The tree is a “Precision Tree”, made in Yoakum, Texas. Designed after the legendary Ray Hunt's saddles....  It is made of wood with hand laid Kevlar reinforcement then covered with a durable and waterproof covering called DuraK. Stress tests show this tree to be stronger than traditional wood and rawhide trees. Making it ultra lite also — about 33 lbs  

 

 WE OFFER custom fitting if needed. Our standard trees do fit a wide range of horses. 

We have fit many large and draft horses also!!!

 Delivery can run 7-9 months. Always check with me may have one in stock or about done!

The skirts are properly plugged & contoured to help displace weight across a wider area of your horses back helping to avoid pressure points. And the stirrup leathers are permanently twisted to face forward and laced. This helps to relieve strain on the ankles and knees caused by stirrups that won’t face forward.

Our Lifetime Warranty

"Cowboy Common Sense" warranty is basically, the customer pays all shipping costs and we repair the saddle for free for an indefinite time. Lifetime support depends on our inspection of the saddle. Was it cared for or abused and neglected? Did the saddle fail vs. damage not related to normal use?  Falls off truck going down the highway, fire damage, etc. Sorry cannot warranty abuse, neglect or accidents.

Ray Hunt wade

I recently received my Ray Hunt wade from Buckaroo Leather Products and have put a handful of rides on it. The seat is comfortable, sweats a horse good, with the quality of a custom saddle. I wanted a little more than all ruff out so I ordered the buckaroo leather cliff wade geometric tooling design with the Ray Hunt tree and it turned out great! John and his team kept me informed throughout the process and were easy to work with. Overall it was a great experience!

Ray Hunt Wade Saddle

We bought this saddle about a year ago and it is great. Very comfortable seat. The 7/8th rigging brings your legs just a little more forward which helps me connect with the mount. Fits the horses well. Doesn't need a ton of blankets. Craftsmanship is appropriate for the price. We like the rough out finish - this is not a fancy saddle - just one made to ride - comfortably. Don't forget the Bucking Rolls!
