Buckaroo Sidepull Headstall with Rawhide Nose

The quality, fit, and design of this Buckaroo sidepull are second to none. It is easily the best I’ve ever used. Right out of the box, it had a 'broken-in' feel of premium leather you just don't find on the racks at local tack stores. This is a true American-made sidepull you can be proud to own. When you combine the quality of Hermann Oak leather with the gorgeous braided rawhide noseband and handmade workmanship, you know it will last a lifetime. It’s built with the kind of integrity that proves 'Made in America' still means something. I have recommended this sidepull to every student trainer in our equine training and management program.
We recently used this on a young Haflinger mare during round pen training, and she performed more comfortably and responsively than she ever did in our previous gear. We then tried it on another mare (pictured below), and the results were just as outstanding. She did so well that we plan to continue her training exclusively in this sidepull. We have an older quarter horse for the kids to ride and he’s been in a side pull as long as we’ve had him. He does great with an adult rider but takes advantage of the kids’ lack of strength when he wants to stop for something to eat or get an attitude and wants to head back to the barn. We’ve had this rig for a few weeks and he took right to it and it gives the kids the control they needed. He responds well to them now. Just what we needed. Also wanted to mention the customer service at Buckaroo. I called asking which products might be a good fit for that old horse and they recommended this. They also were timely and everything is quality. Buckaroo is my go to for tack.

John at Buckaroo Leather is certainly a top notch leather craftsman. My new leather side pull bridle is beautiful, and the materials used are very high quality. Buckaroo Leather made this bridle to custom fit my (not so easy to fit) horse, and I could not be happier with the results. It took a while to receive this product, but is was well worth the wait. It looks great, fits great, and functions great.

I had a hard time finding a high-quality side pull for my Mammoth Donkey (they can be hard to fit), and when I saw Sara's review I reached out to John myself. He walked me through getting Charlie's exact measurements, added the poll clip necessary on mule bridles (to accommodate those long ears!), and even, at my request, added a chin ring I could use for a lead rope. It fits Charlie perfectly, which is excellent for optimum communication, and the leather and workmanship are beautiful. A bit more money for the custom job, but not bad and totally worth it. Definitely recommended!
