This western bitless headstall is made from quality heavy weight, doubled and sewn Hermann Oak Harness leather for a smooth, rich, "broke in" feel. This is a leather sidepull bitless bridle style with a width of 5/8". This Ultimate Headstall has a soft chap lining and is oiled for that soft, supple feel. Available brown or black. It has a flat leather nose with braided rawhide around the nose and is finished with nickel or stainless hardware. Standard with a buckle on one cheek for adjustment. Two buckle option is available for extra adjustment (1 on each side) The Buckaroo Ultimate Headstall is for the western rider who wants a quality performing piece of leather horse tack but does not want to sacrifice beauty. I had a hard time finding a high-quality side pull for my Mammoth Donkey (they can be hard to fit), and when I saw Sara's review I reached out to John myself. He walked me through getting Charlie's exact measurements, added the poll clip necessary on mule bridles (to accommodate those long ears!), and even, at my request, added a chin ring I could use for a lead rope. It fits Charlie perfectly, which is excellent for optimum communication, and the leather and workmanship are beautiful. A bit more money for the custom job, but not bad and totally worth it. Definitely recommended!

This sidepull was custom made by John for my donkey Nori. I asked for a clip on the poll strap so I didn’t have to pull it over her ears. Then he requested exact measurements so he could make it just for her and Voila! After little while I decided to put fancy buckles on it and I asked John if he would do it “the right way” with stitching and rivets as opposed to my trying to take it apart and then use chicago screws. He was more than happy to oblige for a very reasonable fee and the turnaround time was extraordinary!

Just received my sidepull for my draft! Fits him great the leather is really nice and the noseband makes it special! This was an easy purchase and John was wonderful about communicating about my purchase! Bitless is the way to go!
