They are a one piece loop rein with a 1/2" rolled width and is made from the finest heavy weight Hermann Oak Rolled (rounded) leather for a smooth, rich, "broke in" feel. These Western Reins have Nickle silver colored plain buckles or larger oval stainless engraved ($15 more), or real silver buckles ($70 more) at the bit ends special order. Just leave note at checkout and we’ll contact you. The reins are available in black or brown oiled harness leather. Good quality leather - feel broken in already

Very pleased with these reins. They have the weight of a good split rein, and the feel of a broken-in soft pair of rolled reins. The only recommendation I would make is to pay for the larger stainless buckles. I had a hellacious time working the standard buckle with the heavy leather
