The macate reigns are beautiful and heavier than I thought they would be. Very well made!
Had an unfortunate incident that broke my first one so this is a replacement.
If you’ve never had a genuine horse hair mecate you should borrow one and try it out. It provides far more communication than any synthetic one I’ve tried even as they are crazy expensive. The good news is that, if you’ve never had don’t have an accident, one should last you a lifetime.
These are a bit more coarse when new, but they break in with use. Because they are hair, I even clean mine occasionally using mane and tail shampoo.
I’ll deduct one star for price, but again, this SHOULD be a once in a lifetime purchase.
Excited for my first mecate and just sayin.. the colors are perfect. The weight and feel is exactly what I was hoping for to transmit some nice connection.
I really like the feel of my new mecate and it is working very well.
