Few days ago I provided a review on the Bosal and added comments on the hanger I also purchased as being too short, As it turns out this was my mistake by purchasing the incorrect item. John from Buckaroo leather called me less than 20 mins after posting the review to understand the issue. I received both of these in a matter of days, and I thought it would take a lot longer. The quality is really good. I asked for conchos to be added to the poll piece, on the hanger, and it really looks nice. There are a lot of bosals and hangers on the market that are a lot cheaper, and junky. If you want quality order from Buckaroo!
I had hunted around quite a bit, trying to find a quality Bosal - something much better than the ones at the local feed store. So pleased to find John at Buckaroo Leather! I’m so happy with my purchase! I’ve been buying Buckaroo tack for a long time and finally decided to get a bosal. This one is the perfect softness, but still has enough rigidity in the core to give clear signals and hold a shape. I love the leather on the nose; it’s really beautiful and extra soft. The nose buttons are in the perfect spot; I was filtering through other bosals because the makers were putting the nose buttons too wide, and Buckaroo has them perfect. My horse hadn’t ever ridden in a hackamore before, and he’s taken to this one really nicely. I do wish that the bottom of the heel knot had a maker’s mark or something to cover up the hole, but that’s a minor detail and isn’t visible at all when hung on. Overall, the craftsmanship is great and it’s beautiful! I bought a hanger to go with this, and that’s also perfect. Allows the hackamore to do its job just right.
