Ringing in the New Year

There are only a few days of 2019 left, which I find very hard to believe. Time flies faster and faster with each year that passes. Looking back, we are so thankful for the journey, and for each lesson learned in the different seasons. Winter Leather Care

A couple weeks ago we did an article about what to do when your leather tack becomes moldy, and this week we want to go a little more in depth about how to prevent it. The Problem Winter weather is no friend to leather, especially polluted rainwater. Microscopically, leather is made up of collagen fibers. During tanning, hides are soaked in chemicals to prevent its fibers and their bonds from decomposing.
